International Buddhist Society representative from Thailand participated in the 22nd World Scout Jamboree
Sweden 2011 at Rinkaby Camp, Sweden during July 27th – August 7th, 2011 by the lead of the president of the
World Buddhist Scout, Professor Dr.Yongyuth Watcharadul. The purpose of participation to this event is to
propagate Buddhism and publicize The V-Star project to scouts from over the world. Moreover, it is the chance
to get the new view point in developing potentiality to the nations. More than 160 countries around the world
had participated the 22nd World Scout Jamboree Sweden 2011 which consists of the IST: International Service
Team who is upper than 18 years old and become the volunteers in this camp and Scouts who are between 14
to 17 years old more than 30,000 from around the world.
The motto of this 22nd World Scout Jamboree Sweden 2011 is “Simply Scouting” which goes by the scout
method, not too much or not too less. The purpose of this method is to let all scouts realize the worth of the
scouting in every activity. All scouts had learn about the differences and cultures of each other. It's a very good
way to create the world peace through every activity together. Especially, the module activities were culled to
provide knowledge with enjoyment and challenge to the scout. Not only to providing knowledge but it focused
on cultural exchanged, community development, environment conservation, globalization, health and sanitation,
world peace. Besides, the International Buddhist Society of Thailand had created activities and exhibition in the
theme of Simply Scouting to Change the World consists of 5 stations, such as, registration, chant, meditation,
robe sewing, and exercise…
